Why salt air kills unmaintained units in 3–5 years
Coastal humidity and airborne salt attack electrical connections, control boards and enclosures far faster than in a dry mainland climate. An annual service agreement locks in two scheduled visits, priority response when something goes wrong, and a documented service history — which matters for warranty and resale. For absentee and second-home owners, it means a local contact who keeps the system ready while you are away. It is the cheapest insurance on the whole system.
