For a Nassau business, a dead generator — or a standby install that is still weeks away — cannot mean a dark shopfront. Commercial rental bridges the gap: we size the unit to your real load the same way we size permanent installs, including the starting surges of refrigeration and A/C, connect it through a proper transfer arrangement, and keep it fueled so you keep trading. Typical commercial hires: a store or restaurant covering a repair gap, an office running through a renovation, a business holding out for its permanent commercial install, and seasonal operations that only need serious power a few months a year.
Construction site power
Job sites on New Providence routinely start work months before BPL energises the connection. A towable diesel unit with a distribution board runs the saws, mixers, lifts and site offices from day one — delivered to the site, placed for access and airflow, earthed and connected by electricians, with scheduled refueling so the crew never stands idle. Monthly terms are priced for exactly this: long hires, predictable cost, mid-hire service included, and collection the week the meter goes live.
Event power
Weddings, beach events, festivals and film shoots need power that is quiet, placed out of sight, and absolutely will not quit during the first dance. We place units for noise and sightlines, run cable ramps where guests walk, and size with headroom so the caterer's equipment and the band's rig can run at the same time. For events with zero tolerance — weddings, live broadcasts — ask about a second unit as standby redundancy.
Delivered, connected, fueled
Rental from us is not a machine on a curb. We deliver anywhere on New Providence, place the unit for airflow and noise, connect it safely — including panel hookups through a proper transfer arrangement, not a tangle of extension cords — and hand it over running. Fuel management, mid-hire service on longer terms and collection afterward are all part of the arrangement, in writing.
Storm recovery: the honest note
After a major storm, rental demand explodes in hours and every unit on the island is spoken for by day two. If your plan for the next hurricane is "we'll rent something", understand that everyone else's plan says the same thing.
